Lauren Hart graduated in 2007 from The Central School of Speech and Drama in London where she trained as an actor and Theatre maker. Since graduating she has worked professionally in the independent theatre scene around Europe performing her own work and collaborating with other artists. During her university studies she undertook various training within the field of physical theatre and movement. She has previously trained with The Grotowski Institute, Anu Almagro, Dimitris Varkas (Song of the Goat), Nigel Charnock (DV8), John Britton (Duende), Company of Wolves, Frantic Assembly, Tmesis Theatre, Gob Squad, Dante or Die, Pas De Dieux and Minako Seki. As a child she also attended classes and performed with Act One. She has performed at various venues and site-specific locations in the UK, South Africa, Germany, Norway, Finland and Greece. She specialises in one-to-one performance, audience participation, physical theatre and site-specific theatre. All her work is devised and created from scratch so each performance is unique and tailor made. Her aim is to create performances that are focused on contributing to positive social change rather than simply just to entertain.
She has 12 years experience working as a Drama Specialist and Teacher with children, young people and adults in a variety of educational, community and professional organisations. She is currently in her final year of training to be a Dramatherapist and is passionate about creating value in her community using the therapeutic tools of theatre to inspire and make a fundamental difference to children and young people.
